July 1- Canmore July 1st Celebration
A tradition in Canmore for years, this is a celebration about being Canadian. Locals line up early for the free pancake breakfast that starts at 7:30 AM. Main Street is jammed with people who come from all over southern Alberta to view the parade, which includes live marching bands and local floats all starting at noon. You will want to get a spot early.
After the parade you can head over to the festival grounds and take in fun and games or have something to eat. A Fireworks show caps off the day. This is one event you do not want to miss.

July 17-
Canmore Miners' Day
For the better part of a century, Canmore made its living from coal. July
13, 1979, was the day the miners emerged from the mines for the very last
time.
Miners' Day commemorates the history of Canmore's coal mines with a parade,
speeches and a special luncheon for the ex-miners and their families. The
parade proceeds up Main Street beginning at 12:30 pm.
Why not take in the parade, have some lunch on one of our fine patios, and
then learn a little more about Canmore's history by visiting the Canmore
Museum and the NWMP Barracks?

24 Hours of Adrenalin
The Canmore Nordic Centre plays host to hundreds of mountain bikers who ride all day and all night, starting at noon Saturday. Heat, rain, dark, and scary noises in the woods are only some of the challenges these teams face. The best time to watch the race is at noon Saturday, when the race begins with a run to the bikes, but the festival atmosphere is fun all day long.
