Kids' Art Exhibition
The Town of Canmore annually host an exhibition to showcase the artistic talent of children and youth in our community.
Kids' Art is not a competition, rather a CELEBRATION OF THE IMAGINATION!
The next Kids' Art Exhibition will be taking place January 8-19th, 2010 in the Canmore Public Library Gallery.
A Call for Submissions and Deadline for Submissions date will be announced at a later date.

Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay
The longest Olympic Torch Relay to take place in a single country will begin its route in Victoria, British Columbia.
The Olympic Flame will travel by land, air and water during its 106-day journey as it visits more than 1,000 communities in our huge and diverse country. Over 90 per cent of Canadians will be within an hour’s drive and will be able to share in the great moments of the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay.

Held annually in the month of February, Canmore’s Winter Carnival has indoor and outdoor fun in store for every member of the family. From ice carving to log sawing, ice hockey to musical concerts, performances and dances to art openings, skating and family fun - everyone in Canmore can find a way to have fun and keep warm during Canmore’s Winter Carnival. Highlights of Canmore's winter carnival include the Trappers' Ball, Kid n' Mutt races, the Grab A Slab ice carving competition, log sawing competitions and beard growing contests.

The World Cup returns to Canmore, Canada in 2010! The February 5th & 6th event will be the final international races prior to the Olympic Games, as Alberta and Canada will be treated to the strongest fields North American skiing has seen in 15 years.
Canada's best will also be in action in December 2009 as they battle for the final spots on the 2010 Canadian Olympic Team in three events.

One thing you can count on is Canada Day in Canmore. Our festivities celebrate the special joy of being Canadian. Locals line up early for the pancake breakfast that starts at 7:30 AM. Main Street is jammed with people who come from all over southern Alberta to view the parade. Truly spending our national day in beautiful Canmore is a pleasure that should not be missed.

24 Hours of Adrenalin is the fastest growing mountain bike event series in North America, and it comes to Canmore as a spectacular annual event. The sporting part of 24 Hours of Adrenaline revolves around a massive relay, where solo riders or teams of up to ten people compete to ride as many laps as possible in a 24-Hour time frame.

And it's even for a good cause! What a great way to help raise funds for CAUSE Canada (Christian Assistance for Underdeveloped Societies Everywhere).
