One thing you can count on is Canada Day in Canmore. Our festivities celebrate the special joy of being Canadian. Locals line up early for the pancake breakfast that starts at 7:30 AM. Main Street is jammed with people who come from all over southern Alberta to view the parade. Truly spending our national day in beautiful Canmore is a pleasure that should not be missed.

The bike course is set along the incredibly scenic Three Sister's Parkway leading competitors to the Canmore Nordic Centre for a paved forest lined run with an Olympic stadium finish. Kananaskis' Annual Parks Day Celebration
Come out to Kananaskis' annual Parks Day celebration on Sunday July 18th, 2010 from 10 am to 3 pm at Willow Rock campground, 25 km East of Canmore on the Trans Canada Highway 1. Learn about the full range of services offered by Alberta Parks, including: bear monitoring, mountain rescues, commercial filming, etc. Several environmental protection groups will be on hand with great educational exhibits. Local outdoor adventure companies will offer entertainment including horse rides, wagon rides, outdoor games and more! Lunch is offered FREE OF CHARGE to all participants and visitors (hot dog, pop and chips!)
Finally, everyone can try their luck at a prize draw.
This whole event is hands-on, educational, fun for the whole family, and FREE OF CHARGE.

24 Hrs of Adrenaline - Mountain Bike Race

24 Hours of Adrenalin is the fastest growing mountain bike event series in North America, and it comes to Canmore as a spectacular annual event. The sporting part of 24 Hours of Adrenaline revolves around a massive relay, where solo riders or teams of up to ten people compete to ride as many laps as possible in a 24-Hour time frame.
