December 9
• Small Gems Art Exhibit
  The Canmore Artists and Artisans Guild presents this exhibit of smaller artworks in an open theme, which runs through Jan. 3, 2006. Held at the Canmore Library Gallery, 950 8th Ave., Canmore.

December 15-18
• Alberta Centennial World Cup December
  The top cross country skiers in the world will be in Canmore. This is a unique opportunity to see the world’s best compete live. Beckie Scott and Sara Renner will lead the Canadian National Team as they compete for places on the medal podium in one of the last major international races before the 2006 Torino Olympics.
  
  This is also the culminating event celebrating Alberta's 100 year anniversary in 2005. Admission is free with a donation to the Food Bank, and there will be activities and fun for the entire family.

December 20-23
• Conquest Theatre
  Presents "Scrooge" at the Rafter 6 Ranch Resort on Dec. 20,21,22,23. Tickets may be purchased by credit card by phoning the ranch at 673-3622. Haywagon rides, dinner and the play cost $36 adults, $23 children under 12. Under 4 free.

• Celebration of Community 2005
  Canmore's New Years Eve Party on the Pond
  Ring in the new year with friends and family - warm yourself by the fire, enjoy music and fire juggling, take a horse and wagon ride, lace up your skates and take a turn around the ice . . . there'll be hot dogs and hot chocolate . . . and fireworks!!!
