Canmore Winter Carnival
February 10 - 20, 2012
The Canmore Winter Carnival is back for another year with 10 days of free celebrations and events. The carnival will include the International Biathlon Union Cup Races, Xterra Triathlon and Chandra Crawford’s Fast and Female. Ski and dog sled race events will take place on a snow covered Main Street and the public are also invited to bring their cross country skis to enjoy the set ski track on Main Street. Street hockey, ice carving, log sawing, and snow sculpting events will all take place in downtown Canmore throughout the carnival.

Starting on February 9th, 2012 at 6:00pm, watch Main Street transform into a cross country ski track as 850 cubic meters of snow are trucked in and groomed to a meter depth over the road surface!
